Description

The Shrub rose Salet has an initially pure pink bloom, which softens over time to become a delicate soft pink.

The flowers of the Shrub rose Salet are accompanied by pretty ovoid buttons with leafy and slightly mossy sepals; the flowers are medium-sized, flat and double, in slightly irregular quarters. The flowers smell very good. The Shrub rose Salet is formed of thin branches, weakly spiny, and bearing light green foliage.

The scent of the Shrub rose Salet blends balsamic and sweet notes. It is an easy to grow rose. Provided that the soil is rich and fresh, it is never completely devoid of flowers during the summer. In autumn it offers a pleasant rise, especially if you take the time to remove the wilted flowers, to bring a little fertilizer during the summer and to intensify watering to help it.

Roseraie Ducher

Our history

It is in 1845, in Lyon, that Claude Ducher organised the first world exhibition ever dedicated to the queen of flowers. The same year, he created his rose nursery and was internationally recognised 20 years later with the rose 'Abraham Lincoln' chosen to honor the President of the United States of America. Ducher's roses have gone through the centuries: 'Marie Van Houte', 'Reve d'Or', 'Gloire de Ducher', 'Ducher', 'Mademoiselle Cecile Brunner', and many others are still cultivated all around the world.

With its unique expertise and team of specialists, Roseraie Ducher has been producing roses for six generations. Choosing Roseraie Ducher means choosing excellence.

Bare-root rose bushes are only shipped during the dormant season, i.e. from late October to early April. A potted rose bush can be planted all year round, during the growing season, and is packaged in 5.5-liter pots.

Our roses are grafted onto Rosa laxa, which is rare! Some varieties are also propagated by cuttings. This allows you to plant our roses in any soil, even the most calcareous, and they will be very resistant to drought. You can therefore plant them throughout the growing season, even in mountainous areas.

We offer a selection guide on our website based on your needs (climbing roses, bushes, fragrant roses, disease-resistant roses, etc.). You can also contact us for personalized advice.
