For any order of 3 bare-root roses, a 4th rose of our choice will be offered.

Description

Initially its double flowers, with irregular petals, are of a reddish purple, then they become violet pulling on the navy blue, and this one will become lilac, especially if it is very hot.

The flowers tend to stay on the plant for a long time, which allows all the colors to be present simultaneously on the plant, with different shades. Their hues have nothing to do with the sad and artificial mauves of tea hybrids and are easily combined with white, cream or pink.

The flowers of the Climbing Rose Veilchenblau come in open bouquets from 10 to 30, and give in autumn small orange fruits. The stems of the climbing rose Veilchenblau are thick and inert, with its light green foliage, shiny and very healthy. This rose grows in all climates, even the warmest and coldest, and it accepts to grow in the shade.

This rose is only sold in 5.5 liters container and cannot be shipped outside of Metropolitan France.

Roseraie Ducher

Our history

It is in 1845, in Lyon, that Claude Ducher organised the first world exhibition ever dedicated to the queen of flowers. The same year, he created his rose nursery and was internationally recognised 20 years later with the rose 'Abraham Lincoln' chosen to honor the President of the United States of America. Ducher's roses have gone through the centuries: 'Marie Van Houte', 'Reve d'Or', 'Gloire de Ducher', 'Ducher', 'Mademoiselle Cecile Brunner', and many others are still cultivated all around the world.

With its unique expertise and team of specialists, Roseraie Ducher has been producing roses for six generations. Choosing Roseraie Ducher means choosing excellence.

Bare-root rose bushes are only shipped during the dormant season, i.e. from late October to early April. A potted rose bush can be planted all year round, during the growing season, and is packaged in 5.5-liter pots.

Our roses are grafted onto Rosa laxa, which is rare! Some varieties are also propagated by cuttings. This allows you to plant our roses in any soil, even the most calcareous, and they will be very resistant to drought. You can therefore plant them throughout the growing season, even in mountainous areas.

We offer a selection guide on our website based on your needs (climbing roses, bushes, fragrant roses, disease-resistant roses, etc.). You can also contact us for personalized advice.
